My first day at cbb

                      My first day at CBB

So I woke up at 6:00 am thinking I did not want to go to camp but I had to go. I was freaking out like what if I don’t like my counselor and what if I was not in the same cabin as my friends. What if I do like the food and I was thinking about missing my family and stuff like that. and then I thought, what if I like camp so much that I want to stay for the whole summer and everyone gets mad at me. all I was doing was worrying so I told myself to CALM DOWN! Then I went to decide what I was going to wear. I wore a long sleeve shirt and shorts. They were soft and tye dye. Then I ate breakfast but I was not that hungry so I ate as much as I could. Then my mom told me it was time to go so I got in the car and drove to ojcs. which  is the school I go to during the school year. When we got there I saw Maia. She had a new haircut. Then we walked to a line in the school parking lot. and maia showed me some of her friends then when we got to the front of the line we got a name tag.  Then we had to wait in another long line then at the end we got to the bus. so I gave my mom a hug and I held maias hand as we walked on the  bus. but I immediately regretted my decision. but then when we were almost there the counselors on the bus sang the welcome to CBB song then When we got off the bus we had to go under a bunch of counselors arms I HATED IT! Then

when we got off the bus we went to a picnic table to make bracelets. and then I wanted gum. and Emma also did. Then we both saw each other and we both had the same gum and we did bracelets together. Emma said that if she is not in the same cabin as me she will kill everyone with a knife.  I asked where will you get the knife? she simply said the mess hall. and I was like okay. Then we had to go get lice checks. I did not have lice YAY! Then we had lunch. It was deli sandwiches. they were pretty good then it was finally time to go get to our cabins YAY! then it felt like a long time to walk there it really wasn’t then we went to the horse shoe. It was called that because a bunch of cabins were in a horseshoe shape. well we sat in the middle of it. and the head of a girl which we called doughnut said the cabin assignments. and me Emma and I were in the same cabin so don’t worry she did not kill anyone. and we also named our counselors. One of them was named Molly. We called her strawberry and we hated her. Another one was named Jessie. We called her pancake. She was okay. then another one that was pretty nice but she still was not our favorite counselor. Her name was Elisha, we called her coconut. Now our absolute favorite name was Ashley and we called her cupcake.  well we unpacked all afternoon and then it was time for shabbat we all took turns getting our hair braided by pancake then we went to the bleachers and sat. and people were singing songs. Then it was time for dinner. We had balls of bread and purple water. I call it that because the grape juice they gave us was something that looked like grape juice and tasted like water. and we also had chicken and that was horrible so me and maia went to go get bread. and that is what we had. Then we went to the beach for fireworks because it was Canada day. but right before the fireworks started morah lianna told us to go to the cabin. but then we had a candy party.

THE END

My birthstone shelf

So for our self directed science we were doing rocks and minerals, well for that we had to choose something that has to do with rocks and minerals. and we had to do some sort of project  that has to do with what you chose. I chose birthstones, I found a lot of facts who knew birthstones were that cool? any way my project was a self that had a bunch of birthstones on it so I will go through  all the steps for how I made it then I will put a picture of it as well.

  1. get a rectangle box with an opening
  2. get 1 big piece of cardboard to go in the middle
  3. get 16 pieces of cardboard to put for shelves (thats right 16 birthstones!)
  4. glue the cardboard inside the cardboard
  5.   get all the birthstones
  6. put all those pictures of birthstones on a google docs
  7. print it
  8. glue the pictures on to the shelf
  9. take a picture of it

Now you are done

Here is a picture

Here is another thing I had to add to my blog post

it wont show all of the birth stone since that is already shown  on the first part but this shows the facts about a lot  of them.

Hi everybody I am going to talk about birthstones so there 16  diffrent types of birthstones I will explain that but first I will explain what a birthstone is  a precious or semiprecious stone associated with a month or sign of the zodiac and thought to bring luck if worn by a person born in that month or under that sign. okay so these are the 16 birthstones

January: Garnet

Febuary: Amethyst

March: Aquamarine

April: Diamond

May: Emerald

June: Pearl & Alexandrite

July: Ruby

August: Peridot

September: Sapphire

October: Opal & Tourmaline

November: Yellow Topaz

December: Tanzanite

Here are som facts about each birthstone:

January & Garnet

  • Garnet is January’s birthstone and the gemstone for the 2nd wedding anniversary.
  • Garnet rates as a 6.5 to 7.5 on Moh’s scale.
  • The name “garnet” comes from the Latin word granatus, which means pomegranate.
  • The term “garnet” actually refers to a variety of gemstones. These gemstones are composed of closely-related minerals and come in several colors, including red, orange, green, pink, and purple. Red garnets are by far the most popular variety, and are what most people think of when they hear “garnet.”
  • In ancient times, the word “carbuncle” was used for red garnets and other red gemstones.
  • Carbuncle is believed to be one of the four gemstones that God gave to Solomon.
